PowerHub team organized a donation drive to support the Shoebox Project’s Mother’s Day Campaign, which provides gift-filled shoeboxes to women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to remind them they are not alone and valued community members.
In May, a special day fills our hearts with warmth and gratitude: Mother’s Day.
It’s a beautiful opportunity to appreciate and recognize the incredible women in our lives. It’s a challenging role, but everyday mothers make it seem effortless!
May 14th reminds us to pause, reflect, and express our gratitude to those who have positively impacted our lives. Whether it’s our biological mothers, stepmothers, grandmothers, mother figures, or partners in raising children, they deserve our utmost admiration and appreciation.
Motherhood is an incredible journey filled with countless joys, challenges, and milestones.
Mothers have earned a day that’s all about them for their unwavering support, constant encouragement, and sacrifices!
It’s why the PowerHub team wanted to make a difference in our local community in honour of mothers everywhere. We gathered to wrap gifts for our donation drive to support the Shoebox Project’s Mother’s Day Campaign.
The Shoebox Project is a charity founded in 2011 to bring joy and hope to women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
The charity’s mission is to provide gift-filled shoeboxes to women in need, to remind them they’re not alone and are valued community members. Our contributions will be towards the Shoebox Projects’ efforts to give back on Mother’s Day.
The simple act of receiving a shoebox filled with gifts and necessities like personal hygiene products can make a huge difference in someone’s life-especially during the holidays when feelings of loneliness and isolation can be heightened.
In addition to providing gift boxes, the Shoebox Project raises awareness about homelessness and the issues women face in accessing safe and affordable housing.
This Mother’s Day, we invite you to join the PowerHub team in celebrating the beauty of the Motherhood journey and acknowledging the strength and resilience required to be a mother figure in someone’s life.
